Yesterday, we held our second Barnsley event at the Falco Lounge. It was great to see familiar faces as well as meeting new businesses. It’s wonderful to see the collaboration that is already starting to happen and we’re excited for the future. Again, the feedback was incredible and we are thrilled that everyone is getting something out of it. We are also looking for local businesses who would like to showcase for the month of June or July. Get in touch if you're interested. We are next in Rotherham on the 24th of April so secure your tickets for this event and all future gatherings now. Don't miss out!https://lnkd.in/eXZAGVhd#rbblink #SupportLocal #Rotherham #Barnsley #BusinessNetworking #barnsleyisbrill

For anyone engaging in business networking, I encourage you to try a netwalk. Apart from the wellbeing benefits, the dynamic is very different to a typical networking event. I find I almost forget I'm working and am instead catching up with old friends. Thanks Jackie Jarvis Walking Business Coach for organising these events right on my doorstep. See you at the next one.#business #networking #event #wellbeing

I'm trading boardrooms for barns and skyscrapers for Ferris wheels for the down-to-earth charm of the Norfolk County Fair in Simcoe, Canada. This isn't just any fair—it's a family legacy, a community cornerstone, and a celebration of all things Canadian. My family has been involved in this fair almost as long as its inception in 1840! That's 27 years before Canada even became a country. My late grandfather, Lloyd Sylvenus Culver, was the fair manager from 1937 to 1973. Under his watch, the fair saw its most significant growth, including the construction of multiple buildings that still stand today. My late father, Syl, was the general manager for over 30 years.Today, my brother Aaron continues the tradition in a leadership role as the facilities manager, continuing a tradition that's been in our family for generations. This week-long extravaganza attracts over 115,000 visitors annually and features everything from equine shows to giant pumpkins. It's not just a fair; it's a million-dollar business that showcases the best in new technology, productivity, and efficiency practices, bridging the gap between urban and rural communities. This fair is my North Star. It's where I've built friendships since I was eight months old, won first prize for my bread and butter pickles, and even survived every single ride on the Midway (though I wouldn't recommend that last one unless you have a strong stomach!).In a constantly changing world, it's essential to have a constant—a touchstone that keeps you grounded and reminds you of your core values. That's what the Norfolk County Fair does for me, and that's what I bring into my leadership style: authenticity, resilience, and a deep-rooted sense of community.#Canada #Leadership #Community #StrategicResilience #TheCulverGroupInc #NorfolkFair

🍀 Happy St. Patrick's Day, LinkedIn family! 🍀As we don our green attire and celebrate all things Irish today, I want to highlight an incredibly insightful article I recently came across. It delves deep into the economic impact of St. Patrick's Day and how it's not just all about leprechauns and luck, but also about the power of cultural celebrations to boost economies and businesses worldwide.Did you know that St. Patrick's Day brings in a significant surge in retail and hospitality sales, with millions of dollars being poured into local businesses? Pubs and restaurants see a spike in customers, with traditional Irish food and beverages taking center stage, while the demand for festive attire creates a wave of seasonal commerce. It is amazing to see how a day steeped in tradition has evolved over the years to become a global economic stimulant. It's also a day that reminds us of the importance of cultural diversity and the positive impact it can have on business growth and community development. The article beautifully emphasizes how embracing cultural celebrations can lead to economic progress and cross-cultural understanding. As we raise our glasses in toast to St. Patrick, let's also toast to the immense opportunities such festivals offer for entrepreneurship, marketing, and global connections. Here's to the spirit of Ireland, which shows us that the blending of culture and commerce can yield a pot of gold for businesses and economies alike!Sláinte! (That's cheers in Irish 😉) 🌈 #StPatricksDay #EconomicImpact #CulturalDiversityInBusiness #Entrepreneurship #GlobalEconomy #CelebratingCulture 🌈https://ayr.app/l/9Afs
