- Candida Diet Bread Baguette Recipe: Gluten-Free and Yeast-Free
💕 Why You'll Love This Recipe
- Candida Diet Friendly Bread
This baguette bread recipe is carefully crafted to exclude ingredients that commonly trigger Candida overgrowth, including gluten, dairy, sugar and yeast, making it a safe and enjoyable choice for those on the Candida diet.
- Nutrient-Rich
This recipe features nutrient-dense ingredients such as almond flour, coconut flour, and psyllium husk powder, which provide essential vitamins, minerals, fibre and healthy fats to support your well-being.
- Satisfying Accompaniment
With its more nutrient dense nature, even a quarter to a half of one of these baguettes will satiate your appetite and complement any meal perfectly.
📋 Ingredients
To prepare this delectable candida diet-friendly baguette bread, you’ll need the following ingredients:
- Almond flour: Almond flour, derived from blanched almonds, is low in carbs and high in healthy fats, fibre, and protein. It adds a delicate nutty flavour to the bread.
- Coconut flour: Coconut flour is an excellent gluten-free flour alternative that contributes to the bread's light texture and imparts a subtly sweet flavour.
- Psyllium husk powder: Psyllium husk powder acts as a binding agent and helps create the desired bread-like consistency. It is high in soluble fibre which aids digestion.
- Ground flaxseed: Ground flaxseed adds moisture and enhances the nutritional profile of the bread with its high omega-3 fatty acid content.
- Extra virgin olive oil: Olive oil contributes to the bread's moisture and adds a subtle richness to its taste. Use a high-quality olive oil preferably from a glass bottle.
- Eggs: Eggs act as a natural leavening agent and provide structure to the bread.
- Other ingredients include salt, water and baking powder.
💁♀️ Yield
This recipe makes two medium sized baguettes, however, because it is more nutrient and calorie dense than traditional bread, this recipe can happily provide 4-6 servings. I recommend cutting the bread lengthways and then widthways to create convenient portions once stored.
🥡 Storage
To maximize freshness, store the baguette bread in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days. For longer storage, slice the bread and freeze it in a sealed bag for up to a month. Thaw individual slices as needed.
