SELLING: 2001 ZRX 1200R - Selling because I promised wife I'd quit biking if I made it to 65, and we're there - a deal's a deal. I've had a lot of bikes, and this is the only one I kept.

HISTORY: I'm the second owner from 2003 and 2000 miles, so I've owned it for 21 years and 11,000 miles. Always kept inside, under cover, never abused, wheelied, track-dayed, hardly ever ridden in rain (and never on purpose, never left out in rain), etc. Never tipped over, dumped, or down. Meticulously overmaintained, and I've done all of the work/upgrades myself.

BIKE CONDITION: Excellent, mechanically stock (except for changes as noted below), low mileage at 13,3xx. Runs/rides/drives as new - over-maintained. Annotated pics identify every mark on the bike. Time Capsule-adjacent. No leaks, smells, or sounds that don't belong. No rust in fuel tank.

INSTALLED UPGRADES (all original take-offs are included):
* Renntech engine protector bars
* NWS hugger (original chain guard included)
* Flashing rear brake light system (Kisan Back-Off) / turn-signal (Kriss Panther) - 2 systems that work together to warn approaching drivers
* Nissin 4-pot front calipers (original ZRX calipers included)
* Delrin Handlebar Bushings (original included)
* Bergmen Spin-On Oil Filter Adapter (original oil filter setup included)
* Ceramic-coated (Performance Coatings) stock exhaust header w/EGA access ports
* Cyberdyne digital coolant temp gauge w/modified thermostat housing for sensor (original housing included)
* Conversion to more reliable manual petco*ck (stock vacuum petco*ck included)
* White gauge faces (on original gauges) (original faces included)
* Rear fuel tank bra - color-matched - to prevent buckle marks
* Ivan's Block-Off Plates (original EGR stuff included)
* Kwick's Mo-Flo Plugs
* ChuckC's mirror extenders
* Fender Extender (front)
* NOTE: Bikes does NOT come with the passenger peg extenders or the taller seat shown in some of the pics. I tried selling the package, but will now sell the other accessories/spares separately.

RECENT WORK:
* Yuasa battery installed last summer
* Factory air filter @ 12.5k
* Carbs just cleaned re-o-ringed/adjusted/synched, new fuel line @ 13k
* Valve adjustment @ 13k
* Coolant change @ 13k
* Brake/clutch fluid change @12k
* New 7mm copper core plug wires and plugs

FLAWS:
* Fuel Tank - Small soft depression/dent near top of fuel tank is hardly visible (see pic)
* Fuel Tank - Top - 1/2" scratch on top of tank (pic)
* Fuel Tank - Front (under triple tree) - small scrape on right leading edge nearest steering column (pic)
* Left rear cowl has a couple of marks (side - see pic)
* Left side cover has 1/2" scratch (pic)
* Front cowl - bolt heads have wrinkled the vinyl decal
* Right-rear cowl - 1 broken-but-largely-functional mounting tab (pic)
* Fuel tank was always professionally lined lined (Tanks Only) to prevent rust, but the liner began to fail, so I've pulled out the loose liner (available for inspection). Some residual liner material left around fuel fill (cosmetic), but no operational issues.

ACCESSORIES:
Purchase includes the following:

* Anderson's rolling rear stand made just for the ZRX
* Dedicated scissor jack modified to lift bike by frame rails
* All available shop manuals, including Kawasaki's, Clymer, and Haynes
* Covers - inside/outside bike covers (multiple)

VERSATILE BIKE: This is a great 2-up bike that can be used as a medium-duty sport tourer. This is a great commuter that gets close to 40 mpg, while it remains a fun play bike that will get your motor running when it easily lifts the front end off the throttle. This bike has significant roll-on power (which you likely know if you're looking at this bike) - hard to put a price on that feeling.

* If you want to see a very good review OF ANOTHER'S bike - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Bp1L-gb8R8 (note his comments at the 18:45 mark re: brake feel - that is what the Nissin calipers do better than the stockers - a more progressive feel on application, with equivalent stopping power) - (note his comment about how nice it would be to have a coolant temp gauge - mine has one).

HAPPY TO TALK TO YOU: I wouldn't buy a bike from someone I hadn't talked to, so know I'm happy to talk with you about this bike all day long - just send your contact info, or email questions through CL, etc. Want more pics? Not a problem. Want a different video? Can do. Tell me what you want to see.

TITLE/PAYMENT: Clean title in hand. No trades. Cash or bank transfer (possession upon funding confirmation). In addition to items listed above, purchase includes original purchase documents, my purchase documents, Owner's Manual/Warranty Card, complete maintenance records back to 2002 (first oil change), receipts, included, even a magazine ad for the model/color, CD full of info, and similar. Registration good through May 2024 and will be renewed then. Please note for your taxation purposes that the actual transaction price is what will be reflected on the Bill of Sale.

WARRANTY: None. The bike is a 23-year old mechanical/electrical device and so is sold without warranty of any kind - sold as-is, where-is. I have disclosed in the text above, and in the pics, all issues of which I'm aware.

TEST RIDES: Test ride available on a case-by-case basis. This is decidedly not a beginner's bike. Must have gear and MC endorsem*nt, at minimum, and prior experience with larger/powerful/heavy bikes preferred.

GENERAL: If the ad's up, the bike's available, unless the title reflects it's being "Held" for someone who's coming to see it (max 24 hrs, unless coming from Canada), in which case I'll take backup interest. Serious prospects, only, please. Hold counteroffers and "will you take X?" queries until you've seen the bike. Scammers and lowballers, reseller-helpers, folks wanting my personal email, etc., should follow my lead and spend their time elsewhere. No travel, but if you want to walk-on the Seattle ferry I can pick you up (in a car) at the Bainbridge terminal so you don't need to bring a car over to check it out.

NATIONAL/INTERNATIONAL: Prefer local sale, but I've sold bikes to Canadians before, so don't be reluctant to hop on down here and check it out. I've also sold bikes nationally on Ebay with perfect feedback, and am willing to work with a non-scammer national/international buyer (and their shipper) willing to pay Ebay's fee if you want to move the sale there for Ebay's protections.
